Revealed: Man United’s shortlist to replace Van Gaal

Gary NevilleManchester United fans endured another drab affair in the Transfer Tavern this weekend, as they watched their side draw 0-0 with West Ham United.

They’re getting a bit fed-up of Louis Van Gaal’s regime, with some loud punters wanting replacements immediately, but they’ll have to wait until the Dutchman’s retirement in 2017. However, they can start to discuss potential successors.

The Daily Star¬†have revealed United’s three-man shortlist to succeed Van Gaal at Old Trafford; with Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Pep Guardiola in their sights.

Welshman Giggs led Manchester United at the end of the 2013/14 season, following David Moyes dismissal, and is now assistant to Louis Van Gaal- with many considering him as the ideal candidate to step-up in 2017.

Giggs does lack managerial experience though, so Guardiola is a top-target to come in but United will face immense competition for his signature.

Finally, Neville has renowned coaching ability with England and recently took charge of Spanish side Valencia, which will earn him a wealth of experience on the continent.

United fans at the bar are debating who they want to come in after Van Gaal and we make it a 50/50 split between Giggs and Guardiola.

Which of this trio should replace Van Gaal? Let us know in the comments below!
