The 26 year old French winger has been pursued by both Chelsea and Real Madrid for sometime and now feels its time to end the speculation.
Speaking to Stade 2, the Bayern Munich midfielder said,
“There’s a lot of talk about Real Madrid and Chelsea, it’s true, they are two big clubs. But I don’t think it will be a long soap opera. It will be quick. We will know before the end of the season. In about two, two and a half months’ time. I would want to know before the World Cup.”
Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has done little to quell the rumours as he claimed Bayern would be willing to sell Ribery than risk losing him on a free as his contract expires next summer and they “cannot afford to throw 50 to 60 million euros away”.
The French international has made just 8 appearances scoring once this season having been plagued by injury. Just this month he has had to have an accumulation of blood removed from his big toes after working out at Bayern’s training camp in Dubai and will be hoping his luck changes if he is in fact coveting a move away from the Allianz Arena.
