Wolverhampton Wanderers have started life in the Premier League in a great way this season as they have only suffered one defeat in their opening five matches and sit ninth in the table.
The Molineux outfit surprised a lot of the football world with the summer signings they made during the transfer window, with players like Joao Moutinho, Rui Patricio and Leander Dendoncker all arriving.
However, Robbie Keane told the Express and Star that he believes the club will continue to improve and do well and is confident that his former club will bring an even bigger name to Wolves in the near future.
“A statement signing will come at some stage,” he told the Express and Star.
“But I think, with the players they’ve already brought in, keeping hold of a couple of them will be more important.
“If you look at Reuben Neves, the midfield player, he’s only 21, I didn’t realise he was that young – he looks good, he can pass, he can score goals.
“The key now is to keep those types of players. But if they can get a big name in, in the next year or so, which I’m sure they will, that’d help.”
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have already had a great start to the Premier League season and will have been pleased to see a number of his newest additions already having a solid impact on the team.
With the links the Portuguese manager has, in particular, with super agent Jorge Mendes, it is likely that a big name signing could be brought to Molineux in the near future.
However, the club will need to ensure they are still playing Premier League football in order for that to happen and Nuno will already have that as his main priority this season.
