Robert Snodgrass has impressed Manuel Pellegrini

One West Ham United player looks to have been given a fresh start at the London Stadium under Manuel Pellegrini.

According to a report by football.london, Robert Snodgrass has impressed the Chilean with his performances and training ethic.

The Scotland international was thought to be one of the players to be offloaded from the club in the summer after seemingly looking to be surplus to requirements, however, Pellegrini appears to have taken a liking to him.

The winger, who spent last season out on loan with Aston Villa, has featured in all four of the Hammer’s Premier League games and has also managed to keep summer signing Andriy Yarmolenko out of the side.

The 30-year-old is yet to have a real standout performance this season under Pellegrini, but in fairness, the whole side is yet to get going after they have suffered defeat in every game so far.

The Verdict:

With all the additions that had been signed by Pellegrini, it comes as a surprise that Snodgrass is still involved with the first-team.

After spending last season on loan with Villa, where he admittedly impressed in the Championship, it would have been though that his future in the capital would have been over.

However, the £6.3million-rated winger, as per Transfermarkt, has been given a fresh start at the London Stadium and will be looking to continue his efforts to impress Pellegrini.
