Aston Villa

Roberto Martinez, Paul Lambert & Brendan Rodgers

What a tragic place the Premiership has become.

Martinez, a man with a footballing CV that comprises in total of three back to back near death relegation escapes has apparently decided not to discard the faith and trust of Dave Whelan like a used tissue. Bravo. We’re all terribly proud of you.

But that hasn’t put Brendan Rodgers off from deciding he would like to be the next man to suspend his disbelief and audition to the be the next manager of the North West Whingers (t/a Liverpool Football Club).

If Martinez doesn’t drastically improve next season Whelan wants to bin him. Remind the little louse who actually pulls the strings. Brendan Rodgers wants his head examining. He had a good thing going on at Swansea and to swap a squad of achievers for a bunch of over hyped burn outs supported by vicious crybabies makes no sense at all.

Mind you, real oaf in this piece has to be Paul Lambert. Another one who did great work with Norwich and is it would appear ready to cash in his credibility chips and apply to be this season’s manager at the footballing graveyard that is Villa Park.

In an age where managers moan that they aren’t given enough time this current crop aren’t fit to be treated with much respect, it’s difficult to wish any of them well at all.

Let them enjoy their money until it runs out while they bask in the slow decay of their fame. But I don’t want to hear a single bleat of complaint from any of them.
