Manchester United fans feel under threat in the Football Transfer Tavern after a Serie A giant declared interest in one of Norway’s top young starlets.
According to talkSPORT, Roma have joined Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal in the race to sign 15-year-old starlet Martin Odegaard.
The midfielder has already made his senior international debut for Norway becoming the Scandinavian nations’ youngest ever debutant.
Odegaard made his full international debut last month in a friendly with the United Arab Emirates breaking a record previously held by Tormod Kjellsen.
Despite many punters being alarmed at how young the player is, Odegaard has netted three goals in 18 games for his club side Stromsgodset and that has done his reputation no harm at all as Europe’s big fish circle for his signature.
Ajax, Juventus and Real Madrid are all hot on the trail of the Norwegian prodigy with the Red Devils reportedly leading the fight.
However, Roma – who are enjoying something of a renaissance – are now ready to rival United in their pursuit of the talented midfielder.
