Ronaldo City move not ‘impossible’

ronaldo.jpgThe Football Transfer Tavern today is buzzing with anticipation ahead of the clash of the titans Real Madrid and Manchester United in the Champions League tonight and the Daily Mail have only served to make the build up even more scintilating.

There has been much made over the future of Cristiano Ronaldo – Real Madrid’s star man who claimed earlier this season that he has been unhappy and is stalling over the possibility of signing a new deal at the club. This of course led to speculation that the player would return to the club he says remains in his heart – Manchester United and the pair up in the Champions League has done nothing to quash this.

Ronaldo himself spoke about his future and in news that will get United fans reaching for the tequila, he also claimed joining rivals Manchester City would not be impossible. The forward disclosed to The Sun: “The future? I don’t know – only God know the future. I’m not going to say it is impossible, because in football the impossible doesn’t exist. But I can say it would be very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very difficult to play at Manchester City. My heart’s in Manchester United, that’s why!”

Now that certainly is a lot of ‘verys’ and in reality the sight of the player wearing City blue is not one that many people expect to see – but for now the player is focusing on wearing the white of Los Blancos and claimed he wants to become their all-time leading goal scorer, currently sitting sixth on the illustrious list.

Will we see Ronaldo back in the Premier League at some point in the future? And where? Let us know your thoughts below.
