Another day and another striker linked with Spurs as Tottenham fans patiently wait for the new attacking signings which will head their striking force next season.
The Daily Mail has reported that Jose Solomon Rondon, the 22 year old Malaga striker, could be on his way to White Hart Lane in a part exchange deal which will see Tottenham’s Dos Santos move to the La Liga side.
Whilst the future of Dos Santos will be sorted relatively soon which will see his nightmare Tottenham career come to an end, Rondon ‘s future won’t be so simple with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and now Spurs all being linked to the striker.
The Venezuelan striker has scored 27 goals in 72 appearances for the club which would underwhelm many Tottenham fans, and rightly so. With Spurs being linked to the likes of Benzema, Falcao and Leandro Damaio who have impressed immensely with their goal scoring record, Rondon would be a major step backwards.
Even though that Tottenham’s attacking football could help Rondon build up a successful goal tally in North London, Tottenham need to buy a striker who can net 20-25 goals per season, not 27 goals for 2 seasons.
