Wolverhampton Wanderers will be desperate to book a place in the next round of the FA Cup against Bristol City tonight, with Shrewbury Town heading to Molineux.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side managed to ease past Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon, so they should have no trouble in making it past Sam Ricketts’ side in front of home support.
However, the Midlands club received a blow on the injury front recently, as according to Wolverhampton Wanderers’ official website, Ruben Neves will probably not be available tomorrow.
Ruben Neves was substituted in the second half against the Toffees after picking up an injury.
And, it now looks as if he won’t recover in time for tonight’s game, which comes as a blow for the Premier League side as he was one of the best players in gold at Montgomery Waters Meadowiu.
“Neves had a tough kick (against Everton) but he’s improving. I hope he will be fit. We have a small issue with Vinagre who has flu, a virus, and he is probably not available for tomorrow.”
Ruben Neves, who is valued at £36 million (by Transfermarkt), has been one of the standout performers in recent times for Wolves, with a number of world-class performances under his belt in the Premier League.
Of course, supporters would love to see the Portuguese midfielder feature against West Ham, but they’ll be disappointed that he’s a doubt for today’s game as he could have played a huge part.
