The Sun certainly have Tottenham Hotspur fans frowning here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they report that the Lilywhites are set to see a £17 million bid for Morgan Schneiderlin rejected.
The Southampton midfielder has made no secret about the fact that he would be keen on linking up with former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
And it seems that whilst he might be doing all in his power – and in terms of his social media account – to let that happen, the Saints are holding firm.
As one of our punters notes, it is probably a good thing for Southampton given they have sold most of their other players, and we think that Spurs could well see the Frenchman join before the summer is up.
The addition of Schneiderlin would be a massive coup for Pochettino, being not only a player who he knows and trusts, but also one who is proven in the top-flight, which is something Spurs were lacking in last season.
Spurs fans: Just how much money do you think Daniel Levy would be willing to offer for the Frenchman? Will you end up paying over the odds? Let us know your thoughts below.
