Sale of Liverpool’s sensation could ensure Daniel Levy lands unlikely Tottenham target

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely enthralled by some of the attacking football their side have been playing in the opening stages of the current campaign.

Manchester City have stolen the headlines this season for their free-flowing style of football from, but Liverpool’s recent performances are deservedly starting to command a similar level of admiration. The likes of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah have provided plenty of moments of genuine attacking quality, and turned Jurgen Klopp’s side into one of the most dangerous counter-attacking teams in European football.

A natural consequence of Liverpool’s fantastic form of late is that their star players are now in danger of becoming transfer targets for Europe’s heavyweight clubs.

And according to Egyptian broadcasting company On Sport TvMo Salah’s performances at Liverpool since his summer transfer from AS Roma have made him a target for Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The resident Kopites propping up the bar here are extremely concerned by the reports linking Salah away from the club, however, the regular Lilywhites are hoping that Madrid’s acquisition of Salah will pave the way for Gareth Bale to return to Tottenham Hotspur.

Bale left the club to join Madrid over 4 years ago and he has enjoyed a fantastic career in the Spanish capital despite his persistent problems with injuries.

Ever since his departure, plenty of Spurs fans have been praying for his return, and the reports from Egypt concerning Salah could prove to be a sign that The Lilywhites dreams are set to come true.

Madrid’s interest in Salah could be an indication that Los Blancos are looking to replace Bale because of the injury problems that are beginning to plague his career at the Bernabeu.

It is highly unlikely that Madrid could be convinced to allow Bale to leave without a quality replacement ready to fill the void left by the Welshman, so there is every chance that Salah’s departure from Liverpool would pave the way for Bale to make a sensational return to Tottenham.
