Newcastle United fans have not had too much to smile about this season so far, however, there has been some positive news recently.
The Magpies have had a number of off-the-field dramas going on surrounding the future of the club and a number of key personnel.
Their performances on the field have also left some feeling concerned, as they are yet to pick up a win in the Premier League this season and find themselves at the foot of the table alongside Cardiff City.
However, there is a sense of optimism around the St. James’ Park faithful after Salomon Rondon posted a positive update on social media.

The Venezuela international striker has been sidelined with a thigh injury since their draw with Crystal Palace.
He has now taken to Instagram to show everyone that he is working hard in the gym to get back to fitness and put his name into contention for the home clash against Brighton and Hove Albion after the international break.
Newcastle will be keen to have Rondon back as soon as possible and will be delighted to see him back in the gym working hard.
The West Bromwich Albion loanee has found it difficult to get up and running at St. James’ Park since his switch in the summer, however, he has shown glimpses of what he can bring to the table.
It should only be a matter of time before the Venezuela international finds his form, and should he do so, Newcastle will be excited to see him back on the pitch.
