Newcastle United failed to secure any points against West Ham United earlier on today as they were thumped at St James’ Park.
The Magpies got themselves into a rhythm prior to today’s clash with West Ham, but things took a negative turn as Rafa Benitez’s side were helpless in front of home support.
Although, it appears as if one of Benitez’s star men wants to secure a permanent move to Newcastle United, as according to the Mirror, Salomon Rondon hopes he will convert his loan move into a permanent one.
Salomon Rondon wants to make his Newcastle United transfer permanent.
The striker says he is happy at St James’ Park and ready to prove himself worthy of a £16 million deal next summer.
Interestingly, Rafa Benitez wanted to do a permanent deal in the summer but the club decided on a loan swap with Dwight Gayle heading to West Brom.
“Permanent deal? Yes, of course. It now depends on my work. I just do my best.”
Salomon Rondon has been one of the standout performers for Newcastle United in the current campaign, with a number of goals to his name already. The South American has already shown that he can solve the Magpies’ problems at the pinnacle of the attack, so they’ll be desperate to secure him permanently.
Benitez will be pleased that the forward already wants to make his move permanent as he could be granted his summer wish, after previously wanting to sign him permanently back in the summer months.
