West Ham United spent big over the course of the summer as Manuel Pellegrini made a big statement of intent at the London Stadium.
The Hammers will be desperate to secure a shock victory away at Anfield tomorrow as they take on Liverpool in what will be one of the biggest tests that Manuel Pellegrini’s side will face all season. Although, the club said goodbye to one of their players recently, as according to West Ham United’s official website, Sam Byram has joined Championship side Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan.
Sam Byram has joined Championship side Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old defender will be a part of Aitor Karanka’s plans this season at the City Ground as they target a return to the Premier League.
Byram signed for the Hammers from Leeds United in January 2016 and has since made 36 appearances for the Club in all competitions, but a loan move seems suitable as he failed to enjoy regular minutes.
So, West Ham United have waved goodbye to Sam Byram as he will spend the season in the Championship playing for Nottingham Forest. The Englishman excelled during his time at Elland Road so perhaps he could revive his career at the London Stadium by enjoying another superb season in the Championship.
The Hammers are already pretty well covered in the full-back position, so this move will only be seen as positive in terms of the defender’s progression.
