West Ham United have been brilliant at times in the current campaign and they could still secure a European spot if they enjoy a strong finish. Indeed, one of the main reasons behind their recent rise in form has been Declan Rice who consistently delivers world-class performances.
The Hammers spent a large amount of money back in the summer transfer window but Rice has stolen the show at the London Stadium, having established himself as a hero this season.
Indeed, the fans aren’t the only people drooling over the youngster’s performances this season as Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel has named him as his pick for young player of the year.
‘Hard to believe the kid is just 20. West Ham’s emerging star is the most complete young central midfielder in the country right now.’
West Ham United fans will agree that the young midfielder has been simply sensational since breaking onto the scene in the English capital as he constantly grinds out magnificent performances. And, he’s been able to steady the ship for the Hammers after a hugely disappointing start to life under Manuel Pellegrini.
Indeed, Mark Noble could actually learn a thing or two from the youngster as he has all the ingredients to become a future star on the European stage. But, with the 20-year-old constantly developing and now being exposed to international football, fans may be wary that some of the big clubs could come calling in the summer.
