Everton fans are desperate for a striker to arrive at Goodison Park that can prove to be a solid source of goals for them as a number of players have arrived and have failed to make the grade.
One man that was signed as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku was Sandro Ramirez, however, it would be fair to say that he did not exactly shine during his time with the Premier League outfit and it appears he could be on his way back to Merseyside.
What’s the News?
According to a report by Vasco Diario, Real Sociedad are set to send him back to Everton as his struggles in front of goal continue – even in a league that he excelled in once before with Malaga in his sole season with the southern Spain club.
Having scored just one time in European football for the Toffees in his first season, he has since played 31 matches for Sevilla and the Basque outfit without hitting the back of the net.
It would not come as a surprise to hear that Real Sociedad are prepared to send the player back to Everton and it would be difficult to try and convince them otherwise.
A player who used to have a rather good record when La Liga football was concerned, he has truly disappointed and appears to have really lost any touch in front of goal that had brought him to Goodison Park in the first place.
Vasco Diario would also have to be considered a rather reliable source of information regarding news surrounding the Basque outfit, although there will not be too many doubting the story based on the 23-year-old’s struggles.
Everton will be desperate to find a striker to help find a regular source of goals in the summer, however, Ramirez certainly is not the man to help fire them back into European football.
The Toffees will not want to keep the Spaniard on their books beyond the transfer window, but they could find it extremely difficult to offload him permanently if he continues to fail to find his shooting boots in the final few months.
