Everton are going to need to seriously upgrade certain areas of their squad once again this summer if they are to challenge for a place within European football. Marco Silva’s side have been ridiculously inconsistent this season and changes are needed.
As the transfer window provides clubs with the perfect opportunity to strengthen with additions, it also provides teams with the chance to offload deadwood and that is something the Goodison Park outfit should look to take full advantage of regarding one of their men.
What’s the News?
Mundo Deportivo’s Gipuzkoa edition (via Sport Witness), are reporting that Sandro Ramirez wants to leave Everton in the summer and would like to join Real Sociedad on a permanent basis.
The former Malaga striker arrived at the Premier League outfit with a rather impressive record, making his £5.2million fee seem a steal in the summer of 2017, however, he spectacularly flopped and has even struggled to make an impact at the Basque side.
It is hardly surprising to hear that Ramirez wants to leave Everton permanently and it would not come as a shock if the club had a mutual feeling in regards to the player’s future.
The 23-year-old made just 15 appearances and scored one goal across all competitions before being shipped out on loan to Sevilla in January 2018, however, things have not exactly gone to plan for him.
Since his solitary goal for Everton in the Europa League, Ramirez has failed to find the back of the net whilst back in Spain, which could make any deal for him to leave the Premier League outfit that bit harder.
Silva will need to use the summer to try and find a striker that is capable of scoring goals on a regular basis, however, he must also look to use the transfer window as the perfect opportunity to offload the Spaniard.
Whether Sociedad will look to strike a deal remains to be seen, however, if the chance presents itself, it is one that most Everton fans will not be too disappointed to see happen.
