Saturday’s Premiership Predictor

We heard during the week one lucky punter landed a mind blowing £585,143.24 from an 85p accumulator, so you never know the same could happen to you. Here is how I see Saturday’s matches going.

Stoke v Blackburn isn’t the most exciting of matches, but then again who would have thought Wigan v Blackburn would have ended 3-3. Both teams are struggling for form and confidence. Stoke who started the season brightly have slipped away in recent weeks and look very vulnerable at the back. Something you don’t usually associate with Stoke. Blackburn on the other hand haven’t lost too many matches on the road but they don’t win matches either. It could be a goal fest with the way these two teams are defending at the moment. Prediction 2-1

Bolton v Everton is a tricky one. Bolton are desperate to get out of the relegation zone and Everton you just don’t know which side is going to show up. Both teams are pretty much trying to put together a good run of form but it just isn’t happening for them. This match won’t be a festival and I can see Everton just nicking this what will be a  tight match.  Prediction 1-2

Chelsea v Wolverhampton is a must win for AVB. He is under immense pressure and nothing but a win is acceptable. We keep talking about Chelsea’s high line and I am surprised they continue to play with these tactics despite it not working. Wolves will put in a workman like performance but will it be enough to stop Chelsea? I don’t think so. Chelsea have dropped out of the top 4, something that they are not used to and will be making sure the teams above don’t get too comfortable up there. Prediction 3-1

Manchester United v Newcastle will be another tough game for Newcastle after they had just lost their unbeaten run. In what was always going to be a tough period for Newcastle this will again end in another loss for Newcastle. United know City are travelling to Anfield and know this could be the chance to close the gap. United haven’t been at their best these past few weeks, but they get the job done. Prediction 1-0

Norwich v QPR could be a thrilling match. Both teams have exceeded expectations and have produced some fantastic performances this season. Even though Norwich lost to Arsenal last week, they can still hold their heads up high for the way they played. QPR on the other hand will be booming in confidence after defeating Stoke at the Britannia Stadium which is always a difficult task to do. Norwich have been strong at home and for that I think they will just edge it. Prediction 2-1

Sunderland v Wigan is must win for both teams and managers. Steve Bruce and Roberto Martinez are desperate for three points and need some sort of confidence or belief to draw on. Wigan are sitting rock bottom of the table and another defeat here could send out alarm bells. Sunderland are just lying above the drop zone and could be dragged into it if they are not too careful. It will be nervy game as neither team will want to lose. Prediction 3-1

West Brom v Tottenham is going to be a highly fought contest. Tottenham do not have a great record at the Hawthorns having not picked up an away victory since their 3-2 win in 2003. The Hawthorns hasn’t been a kind venue to Tottenham but with this new look Tottenham team, they do have enough manpower to change this dire statistic. West Brom under Roy Hodgson like to make teams work and will give Tottenham a tough battle. Prediction 1-1

Arsenal v Fulham has only one winner written all over this-that is if Robin Van Persie is playing. The man is unstoppable at the moment and is leading the team to victory every match. Everything he touches goes in at the moment and nothing seems to be going wrong for the Dutchman. The best way to stop Arsenal is frustrate them, and stop them from playing. If you give them space and too much time on the ball they will punish you. Prediction 3-1
