Seamus Coleman a concern as Everton prepare for Arsenal

Everton will be preparing for their trip to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday when they face Unai Emery’s Arsenal, however, they could be without one key man.

The Goodison Park outfit will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing performance against West Ham United last weekend, however, Marco Silva will know that a positive result against the Gunners will be tough, given the form the Londoners are currently in.

And, according to a report by the Daily Mail, things may get tougher for the Toffees as they could be without Seamus Coleman for the game.

The Republic of Ireland international picked up a stress fracture to his foot whilst on international duty and has not yet returned to training.

The right-back missed last weekend’s defeat to the Hammers, with Jonjoe Kenny filling in and it is believed the youngster could be used by Silva once again.

The Verdict:

Coleman will be a huge blow for Everton on Sunday if he is not fit enough to feature for them against Arsenal.

The right-back is an influential figure for the side and his absence could be damaging for Silva’s side, although Kenny is more than capable of filling in.

The young defender was considered to be one of their better players against West Ham last weekend, however, the Toffees will need to drastically improve if they are to come away from the Emirates Stadium with any points.
