‘Sell him’, ‘Please go away’ – Man United fans on Twitter continue to absolutely slate star

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to Marouane Fellaini’s interview with MUTV after the club’s 2-1 over Arsenal yesterday. The Belgian midfielder scored the decisive goal in the 91st minute as Arsene Wenger lost in his final visit to Old Trafford as the Arsenal manager. The result secured Champions League football for United, although fans still aren’t happy with the match-winner, Fellaini.

No player has divided opinions at Manchester United like Marouane Fellaini. The big Belgian midfielder signed for United from Everton under David Moyes back in 2013 and has had an up and down career at Manchester United so far. This season has seen Fellaini’s game-time at United limited by injury, although he’s still managed 15 Premier League appearances and four Premier League goals in the current campaign.

Fellaini has won a host of honours since he joined the Manchester giants, including the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League, although fans have struggled to warm to him for his blunt style of play and association with the Moyes era at United. Many United fans expected to see Fellaini leave Old Trafford as one of a number of players being cut by Jose Mourinho in summer, although now it seems he’ll be staying in Manchester beyond the summer, even though the United fans don’t seem happy about it.
