Arsenal didn’t manage to bring any new players on deadline day as the club had completed most of its transfer business earlier in the window.

The Gunners brought in five new players this summer as the club look to get back into the Champions League and maybe even push for some silverware this season.

In their first season without Arsene Wenger, the Gunners have quietly gone about their business and could well be in for a surprise season.

With all their incoming business practically complete, Arsenal were only looking to sell some players to help recover some of their £71 million financial outlay.

The club sold Lucas Perez to West Ham for £4 million which although clears a player off the wage bill is an incredibly poor deal for the Gunners.

Another player, according to Sky Sports, who could be on the way out of the club is David Ospina with Besiktas the favourites to sign him.

The Breakdown

The 29-year-old Colombian international shot-stopper has two years left on his current deal, and in truth, has never been a consistently good ‘keeper for the club.

Ospina joined the club four years ago from Nice for £3.6 million and with the arrival of Bernd Leno, it seems the goalkeeper has fallen well down the pecking order.

Moreover, Arsenal’s youth academy product, Emiliano Martinez will likely take the third-choice spot.

While Arsenal’s deal to send Lucas Perez to West Ham was a terrible one, if they can get any sort of fee for Ospina, they’ll have pulled off a good transfer.
