A big big weekend of top flight football and it’s difficult to get much bigger than a double header at Wembley stadium.
It’s a nonsense that Liverpool and Everton fans are travelling down for to play each other here just to work off some Wembley debt, but that’s the modern game I guess…
You wouldn’t want to be Kenny Dalglish these days. Media speculation over his future is endless and rightly so. I’m unconvinced that sacking Comolli was the answer. Andy Carroll was knocking them in for fun at Newcastle. Is it really Comolli’s fault he can’t replicate that form when he’s wearing a red shirt?
It’s ambitious to believe Liverpool are going finish any higher up the table than they are currently so all Kenny has to do is beat Everton and the winner of the other semi and he’ll be out of trouble. Be fascinated to see how John Henry would see that.
180 minutes from maybe not getting the bullet. Happy days.
Everton by contrast are doing the usual, rolling with the punches, mending and making do, …y’know the usual. And they sit one point above Liverpool.
Moyes’ league form has been good and of late improving further.
Prediction? Everton aren’t Cardiff. I have The Toffees to win this by a single goal.
