The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are celebrating yet another victory for one of their side’s academy teams. Undoubtedly one of Europe’s best sides, it’s been a very successful few years for the young Blues, and it could be yet another landmark year.
On Friday afternoon, the Chelsea u-19s managed to defeat FC Porto under-19s in a tightly contested UEFA Youth League clash, and now the Blues are on course to play in the final of the competition.
Chelsea have been incredibly successful in the tournament in the past, having already won it twice, and now they’ve got an opportunity to make it three.
It was a fantastic performance from the young Blues, with several recognisable names, including Trevoh Chalobah and Callum Hudson-Odoi, strutting their stuff.
It took a penalty shootout to win the game, but the Chelsea fans over on Twitter were clearly very impressed with the performance. Indeed, they’re so happy that they’re all discussing the exact same topic – why aren’t the youngsters all getting a chance in the first team?
Of course, Chelsea’s first team are struggling at the moment, with a top-four finish looking unlikely, and so a fair few fans are calling for some opportunities over the coming weeks, whilst others are blasting the likely notion that most will never get a game for the club.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
but none of them will make the 1st team.. senseless

Ampadu, Trevor, Billy, Hudson all deserve a chance in the first team
Chelsea youth teams are on another level. So many youngsters need to be given more of a first team chance next season. Start the re-integration now and they'll be reaping the rewards in 2-3 years.
