Manchester City should be on course to enjoy an excellent 2018, with the Premier League title all but wrapped up and the club showing real signs of progression in Europe.
Manager Pep Guardiola has managed to get his side playing some breathtaking football and the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, and the emerging Raheem Sterling have all be key to the performances from the Citizens this term.
Our landlord here in the Tavern though remains concerned about the future of striking ace Sergio Aguero, and despite the Argentinian being in good form this year, there’s still an underlying feeling that Aguero is not top of the list in terms of Guardiola’s favourites.
However, our landlord feels there are adequate replacements out there for Aguero should Pep decide to move him on in 2018, and one such player who has been impressing on the continent is Ajax starlet Kasper Dolberg.
The young Swede has been banging in the goals for the Dutch giants during the last 18 months, and following his breakthrough season last term, he has been impressing once again this season by continuing to defy his age and deliver accomplished performances.
Dolberg is a player of huge potential and quality, and there’s bound to be a clamour his signature come the summer. If City can manage to steal a march on their rivals and sign Dolberg in the summer, they could well have their star striker for years to come.
City fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
