Manchester City will be desperate to secure silverware in Europe this season after dominating domestically last time out.
The Citizens remain unbeaten in the current campaign and will be desperate to keep it that way, with Pep Guardiola rallying his troops for an even better season than the last. Although, they are sweating over the fitness of one of their star men, as according to Sun Sport, Sergio Aguero is struggling to be fully fit for City’s clash with Liverpool.
Aguero is struggling with a heel problem that he picked up in the game at Newcastle and may even be rested for the trip away to Hoffenheim in the Champions League this coming week ahead of the big game at Anfield.
“Sergio is struggling a bit with some problems in his feet. He is not 100 percent.
“He has not recovered from what happened against Newcastle and we spoke about him playing 55-60 minutes. We were lucky he scored at the right moment.
“We have two games left before the international break. Hopefully he can do the two and then recover.”
Sergio Aguero will play a huge part in Manchester City’s push for a second successive Premier League title, with Guardiola relying heavily on the Argentinian.
Although, supporters will be anxious that the forward won’t be fit enough to feature against Liverpool as it’s a must win for both sides in the race for the title.
