Serie A clubs prepare swoop for West Ham forward

ZarateWest Ham United fans playing darts in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports they could be set to lose one of their forward players.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, a trio of Serie A sides are ready to make a move for Mauro Zarate and take the player back to Italy.

The Argentine has made just three starts this season with another 10 appearances coming from the bench, despite this he has managed to score on four occasions this season, but is still just seen as a back up player by manager Slaven Bilic.

Zarate, who joined the club from Lazio, has interest from Hellas Verona, Genoa, and Torino who have held preliminary talks with the players agent about a January move for the player.

It is thought that the player wants more game time and rather than upset the happiness of the squad, Bilic could look to move the player on.

The West Ham fans in The Transfer Tavern are disappointed they could lose Zarate, but fully understand the reasons given should he leave in January.

West Ham fans, will Zarate’s exit affect your chances of securing European football? Let us know in the comments below!
