Tottenham supporters are looking frustrated with the latest speculation arriving in the Football Transfer Tavern.
The Daily Star have suggested that club record signing Erik Lamela is in talks with Inter Milan about a possible loan move.
The £30 million summer acquisition, who was billed as Gareth Bale’s replacement, is already attracting the attentions of both Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid as he continues to struggle following his switch from Roma to White Hart Lane.
The 21-year-old Argentine told former boss Andre Villas-Boas that he required a first team berth as he looks to keep his World Cup dream alive.
However new Spurs manager Tim Sherwood is also yet to be convinced by the former Roma winger.
Lamela, who has only made three Premier League starts this term, has done little to impress Sherwood in his fleeting appearances for the Lilywhites.
According to reports in Italy, Lamela’s agent has now flown to Italy to discuss a move for his client.
However Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has no desire to loan out his record signing so early into his Spurs career while Franco Baldini also believes that the attacker still has a big future at White Hart Lane.
