The Daily Star have admitted that Manchester United could well be set to lose Javier Hernandez and punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking a little bit worried.
It was only yesterday that we were considering the possibility that Robin van Persie could be about to leave – not to mention fringe striker Federico Macheda, meaning that Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck could well be the only forwards left!
Now it seems that Hernandez will be courted by Serie A side Inter Milan this summer after the Nerazzurri opened talks, and we think that the Mexican forward would jump at the chance to leave his difficult time at Manchester United behind.
Since manager David Moyes came into the club, the Mexican’s chances have been few and far between and we are fairly sure that the lure of regular football week in, week out is going to be too much for the forward to resist.
The good news for United fans is that Hernandez is under contract until 2016, meaning that the club will at least be able to demand a rather large transfer fee.
Now we think that Moyes will have to either give the player game time or work on bringing in a couple of new forwards this summer.
Will Inter get their wish in landing Chicharito this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
