The Mirror have informed Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern that Inter Milan are interested in signing Fabio Borini as the Italian forward has been told that he has no future at Anfield.
The 23-year-old has been on the fringes of Liverpool’s struggling side this season and was told he had no future on Merseyside after rejecting moves to both Sunderland and QPR in the summer.
And the Italian giants see this as a great opportunity to poach the former Chelsea man but are unlikely to be able to match the £14 million fee that the Black Cats originally agreed last summer.
Although it is expected that Brendan Rodgers will be willing to negotiate as he will be desperate to get Borini off the Anfield books and out of the squad.
The out-of-favour striker clearly doesn’t lack self belief after a move to Loftus Road collapsed due to the R’s failing to meet his wage demands of a whopping £90,000-a-week.
This means a glamorous move to the San Siro could now be possible with the added benefit of Borini returning to his homeland where he previously impressed for Roma.
