Charles Perrin from The Express is in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening to inform punters that Juventus are once again eyeing up a January move for Manchester United star Nani.
The Portuguese winger, who has recently been ruled out of action for the next couple of weeks with a hamstring injury, is being lined up by the Turin side as Juve manager Antonio Conte seeks a pacy January addition to his side.
The Old Lady have now overtaken Roma at the top of Serie A after eight straight league victories but that hasn’t stopped Conte looking to improve his team that surprisingly fell out of the Champions League at the group stage earlier this month.
Perrin explains that this is not the first time that the Italian side have reportedly targeted the 27-year-old after pursing Nani before he penned a surprise five-year extension in the summer which should keep him at Old Trafford until 2018.
However despite showing flashes of quality with the club, he is yet to fulfil his real potential and Perrin claims that this inconsistency could see him made available by David Moyes in January along with fellow winger Antonio Valencia, who is also in line for a swift departure.
Interestingly Perrin then goes on to declare that Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder would be open to a Old Trafford switch and could even consider a large pay cut to realise his move to the Premier League.
It is possible that Nani could be used as makeshift to help the deal ease through although it remains to be seen if there is any truth in this latest rumour.
Will Nani see out his latest contract or will he flee to Serie A? Let us know your thoughts below.
