And according to talkSPORT, the Citizens could face a fight to hold onto another striker when the window re-opens in January with Juventus keen on Edin Dzeko.
The Bosnian international striker was targeted by the Serie A side all the way up until Monday’s deadline, however the Bianconeri were unable to conclude a deal with the Manchester club.
Many reports are suggesting that a deal was set to go ahead if Manchester City had managed to lure Radamel Falcao to the club.
However, Manchester United beat their not so noisy neighbours to the Colombian’s signature meaning Dzeko stayed put, for now at least.
Many sources are corroborating the fact that Massimiliano Allegri’s Italian champions will target the forward again in a few months.
