Serie A side aim to fend off Chelsea and Man United interest in top striker

The Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are all discussing their respective strikers.

Chelsea have Alvaro Morata, who has taken to English football straight away but is out injured currently.

Manchester United snapped up Romelu Lukaku in the summer and he is already showing why they shelled such a hefty fee on him.

Then Spurs have arguably one of the best finishers in the world in the shape of Harry Kane – who is in prolific form for club and country.

However, in the summer, they were all chasing Andrea Belotti of Torino and that move may be revisited in January or next summer.

In a bid to fend off the interest from potential suitors, Torino have offered Belotti a new contract, according to Italian media outlet Tuttosport via The Daily Mail.

The Italian international signed a new contract with Torino in December which includes an £89m release clause but a number of clubs have been circling him.

With his current deal set to run until summer 2021, Torino want to hand him an extension to keep him at the club.

The 23-year-old, formerly of Palermo, has five goals in eight matches this season after netting an impressive 28 in 38 last term.
