Everton fans have been in good voice in the Transfer Tavern this week after seeing their side get back to winning ways on Saturday.
The Toffees were stuck in a run of four successive defeats prior to the visit of AFC Bournemouth at the weekend, and that looked set to become five when Josh King gave the Cherries the lead just after half time.
However, Oumar Niasse came off the bench to bag a brace and secure a much-needed 2-1 victory for the Merseyside outfit, thus lifting them out of the bottom three, and easing the pressure on manager Ronald Koeman.
And the Toffees will return to Europa League action against Apollon Limassol this evening with renewed confidence after Saturday’s success, although they will have to get the job done without striker Niasse.
The 27-year-old was not included by Koeman in Everton’s squad for Europe’s secondary competition and as such is ineligible to feature at Goodison Park this evening, although the Toffees chief said in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday (via Sky Sports) that he had no regrets not naming him in the squad.
And Koeman’s comments subsequently provoked quite a response from Evertonians on Twitter, with many hoping that he doesn’t come to regret that decision as the competition progresses…
No regrets? Seriously? The lad has just scored 3 in 45 minutes and helped to win 2 games!

Nothing to regret yet hopefully there won’t be but ask him again in December.

Big mistake by Koeman not registering Niasse for the Europa League.

Fair though, he was expected to leave, that fell through (no fault of Niasses own). Looks like he was going to hang out until summer window.

Of course not, continue with the way they are playing he gets a big payoff.

Poor man manager.

Koeman is right. If he’d included Niasse instead of Sandro (that’s the kind of choice he was faced with) he’d have been lynched
