Our landlord here at the Transfer Tavern would love to share a pint at the bar with Tony Pulis to congratulate him on a superb season so far at West Brom!

The Welshman has had many critics previously to how he plays the game but his Baggies side have been superb this season.

They currently sit comfortably in the top half of table and have played some superb football at times, surprising many with just how well they have done so far.

The Baggies were tipped by a fair few to struggle this season and if their start to the season is anything to go by the only struggle they'll have is having to adapt to Europa League football next year.

They've had some stand out stars with the likes of Salomon Rondon earning a lot of praise for his performances this season.

Despite West Brom's superb start there have been a number of players that have yet the receive the praise they deserve.

With that, these two West Brom players definitely deserve more respect and recognition...

CRAIG DAWSON

Dawson has done well at right-back for the Baggies this season and has been vital in a number of games for his side this year, putting a shift in to help his side out.

Dawson, who primarily was a central defender had to adapt due to a shortage on the right hand side and has now made it his own and cemented his place in the side in this brilliant Baggies season.

CLAUDIO YACOB

Critics have always suggest him to have a poor temperament, but the Argentine has rubbished that claim this season! Yacob has been vital in the heart of midfield alongside Darren Fletcher for the Baggies this season.

The 29-year-old has been at the club since 2012 and has been a regular fixture at the Hawthorns since. Being that he is a central defensive midfielder his contribution can be overshadowed by just how well the defence and strikers perform but there is no doubting just how key he has been on the field for Pulis!
