West Ham United have been very disappointing so far this season as they find themselves in the bottom half of the table with very little to show for their efforts.
The Hammers certainly haven’t enjoyed the start that many thought they would under Manuel Pellegrini as they appear to have taken a step backwards under the South American. And, to make matters worse, it appears as if one of West Ham’s stars is attracting interest, as according to a report from The Sun on Sunday (23/09; page 61) (via HITC), Several clubs are plotting bids for Declan Rice.
West Ham are apparently miles away from agreeing a contract with Declan Rice as several sides eye potential January bids for the youngster
Indeed, the London club remain in talks with the academy graduate over a new deal and have the opportunity to trigger an extension in the mean time ahead of the current contract’s expiration this summer.
However, they are apparently struggling to get fresh terms agreed.
Declan Rice has been sensational this season as he continues to operate as a defensive midfielder. He has proven that he is very versatile and can also do a job in the middle of the park, which automatically increases his worth to the Hammers and will make it even harder for them to say goodbye to him.
Therefore, West Ham must tie him down to a long-term deal by meeting any of his demands as he will arguably develop into one of England’s best.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
