Victor Valdes, who only signed for the Red Devils last January, has found himself ousted from the first-team after a high-profile fall-out with United boss Louis Van Gaal; which came to light during the post season.
The former Barcelona man was linked with a move back to Spain with Sevilla but today the president of the Spanish side, Jose Castro, ruled out a move to Andalusia.
“Valdes is not an option. We have no intention of finding goalkeeping cover,”
“We have three or four players for that position and Sergio Rico is the one closest to keeping it for many years. If we have good keepers, we don’t have to go looking elsewhere for them.”
That’s left concern amongst our United regulars as to whether the club can get him off their wage bill, as the chances of an exit seem to be deteriorating.
