Sevilla set to sign Manchester United misfit

Manchester United fans have been sinking a few in the Transfer Tavern this evening and discussing the latest rumour from the continent, which suggests one of their men will be leaving in the January window.

Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo claim Sevilla will sign out of favour goalkeeper Victor Valdes in January, with the former Barcelona man ousted from the first-team after a high-profile fall-out with Louis Van Gaal.

Valdes signed for the Red Devils 18 months ago after spending time training with the club but has failed to force his way into the first-team, now finding himself behind both David De Gea and Sergio Romero.

The reports state Sevilla will sign the former Spanish international on a free transfer in the new year, which will provide a major boost to the back-to-back Europa League champions as Valdes has won everything available to him in Spanish domestic football.

Our regulars are gutted they never saw the best of Valdes at Old Trafford but believe letting him go is the correct course of action.

United fans, is letting Valdes leave in January the right thing to do? Let us know below in the comments!
