‘Shambolic’ – Liverpool fans vent frustration as player looks set to depart Anfield

Liverpool Fans in the Transfer Tavern expect eventful summer transfer window having secured Champions League football.

Supporters of Liverpool expressed gleeful delight having secured Champions League football (if they are successful in the play-off round).

The club’s attention has now switched to the transfer market, as they actively look to improve the options available to Jurgen Klopp, to ensure that the club remains competitive on all four fronts this season.

Having already secured the signing of Dominic Solanke and the club-record arrival of Mohammed Salah, it appears that Klopp is looking to discard those he deems surplus to requirements.

One such player is Lazar Markovic, whose Liverpool career has failed to prosper having been bought from Benfica for a sizeable fee back in 2014.

The former Benfica man has been loaned out on three separate occasions and he made a decent impact in a struggling Hull side, that were ultimately relegated from the Premier League last season.

According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool are prepared to make a £8 million loss on the player with Watford reportedly keen to sign the 23-year-old.

If a move to the Hornets materialises, it would see Markovic link up with former Hull boss Marco Silva.

Liverpool fans have expressed their disappointment that Markovic’s career as a Red has failed to develop as expected.
