Sheffield United registered their first win of the Premier League season with a fine 1-0 home victory over Crystal Palace.
The Blades dominated for large parts of the game at Bramall Lane, finishing the 90 minutes with the most amount of shots (15, via WhoScored), and were duly rewarded when John Lundstram fired in to give Chris Wilder’s men a deserved lead.
Palace ultimately failed to threaten the Blades defence and the home side held on to make it an unbeaten start back in the top flight.
Lundstram was the talk of the town following the game too, as the central midfielder put in a man of the match worthy showing to prove just why Chris Wilder has shown faith in him in both games this season. According to WhoScored, he was the top performing player with a 8.2 match rating.
His all-round performance and energy (as shown on his heatmap) was the heartbeat of the United team throughout, and there were plenty of Blades fans who were quick to sing his praises on Twitter following the game…
Well played Lunny. Had his knockers but doing the business at the moment.
