Lys Mousset was the man of the moment for Sheffield United on Monday, scoring the winning goal in the Blades’ 1-0 win against Arsenal at Bramall Lane (via BBC Sport).
It was the Frenchman’s first Premier League start for the South Yorkshire club (via Transfermarkt), but he certainly grasped his opportunity with both hands.
His goal was a real poacher’s effort, capitalising on a brilliant knockdown from Jack O’Connell to tap the ball home from close range.
Mousset is now Sheffield United’s leading goalscorer this season with two goals (BBC Sport), having also managed to get on the scoresheet against Everton at Goodison Park in September (Transfermarkt).
The 23-year-old struggled during his time at Bournemouth, scoring just five goals in 71 appearances for the Cherries (Transfermarkt).
But he appears to have finally found his feet in English football at Sheffield United, and Chris Wilder will hope that he can now kick on and become a regular goalscorer for his team this season.
Blades fans were delighted with Mousset’s performance against the Gunners, and several of them took to Twitter after the game to praise the former Le Havre man…
Excellent performance from every player, Mousset incredible he’s going to be some player when he’s 100% fit #twitterblades

So pleased for The Moose.
Record signing at the time but we were told by everyone he wouldn’t even score one goal for us and we shouldn’t take him even on a free.
He’s worked hard and is proving the doubters wrong with every game.#SUFC #TwitterBlades #OleOleOleMoussetMousset
