Spurs continue to push on in their hunt for a top four spot this season and they remain in the Champions League too, much to the delight of the punters here in the Transfer Tavern.
The Londoners are still feeling high after their thrilling last gasp point at Anfield last weekend, and this weekend sees them come up against their arch rivals, Arsenal, in one of the biggest games of the season for both clubs.
Our landlord has been impressed with Mauricio Pochettino over the years and he thinks some of his signings and nurturing of top talent has been excellent, with the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Winks both excelling under the Argentinan’s stewardship.
However, our landlord thinks Spurs shouldn’t stop there, and he thinks the club need to ensure they snap up talented Sheffield United youngster David Brooks this summer.
The exciting Welsh midfielder has been missing for a few months now but looks set for a return to first team action over the coming weeks, with Brooks back featuring for the Blades in the under-23 squad.
Brooks is some talent, and has already put the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United to the sword this term with some devastating performances for Chris Wilder’s men.
If he can keep his development going, then this summer will be huge for Brooks and the Blades, with the bids likely to come flooding in, and we think Spurs should be the club to ensure they outbid the rest and seal his signature.
Clever on the ball, an eye for goal, and fantastic dribbling ability mark Brooks out as one of the stars outsides the Premier League.
Spurs fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
