Sheffield United and Everton have long had a good relationship in the transfer market and have a rich history of transfer dealings over the years.
The Blades, currently looking to seal a top six spot in the Championship, and the Toffees, langusihing in mid-table, are both big clubs in their own right and our landlord thinks that another transfer deal between the two clubs could not be far away.
He’s talking about United starlet David Brooks, who has had a sensational first year for the Blades since making the step into the first team in pre-season and impressing manager Chris Wilder.
Brooks is the sort of player who gets fans off their feet, and at just 20-years-old, is still a developing talent, but one who has at times looked head and shoulders above some of his teammates at Bramall Lane.
Capable of carrying the ball and winning games with a moment of brilliance, Brooks is a the sort of player who does not seem to come along too often in the Championship. Key goals against Leeds, Burton, and Millwall have caught the headlines, while his showing at rivals Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the season oozed class.
If Everton fancy adding a quality young player to their squad and doing business with a club they know they have a good relationship with, then signing Brooks could be a key bit of business this summer.
The Blades will want a hefty fee for their young star, but Everton want the best, and Brooks has the potential to be right up there.
Everton fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
