Sheffield United have defied expectations once again under Chris Wilder in the current campaign, but they have dropped off the pace slightly in recent times
The Blades could do with bringing in a number of players in the January transfer window as a number of teams appear to be finding them out. Interestingly, it appears as if they’re set to secure a loan signing, as according to The Sun (21/12; page 64) (via HITC), Kieran Dowell is set to join Sheffield United on loan for the rest of the season.
Everton youngster Kieran Dowell is set to join Sheffield United on loan next month.
Indeed, the attack-minded midfielder has already shown that he can handle the pressure of the Championship from his time at Nottingham Forest, so he could be a real asset for Sheffield United.
Mark Duffy has been very active in the final third for the Blades this season, but adding Dowell to their ranks would not only aid Duffy’s performances, but it would also provide them with another goal threat.
Kieran Dowell could prove to be the different between securing a play-off spot as he is a game-changer that will offer a different dynamic at Bramall Lane.
Chris Wilder managed to secure the services of three of the Blades’ most influential players, John Egan, Dean Henderson and Oliver Norwood back in the summer transfer window, so Wilder certainly knows what he’s doing when it comes to transfers.
