Sheffield United has posted a touching tribute to the NHS on social media, prompting plenty of replies from their fan base.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, football across the country is currently suspended as part of the nationwide lockdown, as medical staff work around the clock to battle the global outbreak.
While it is fair to say the Yorkshire outfit aren’t a fan of anything blue, they have understandably made an exception to the rule after the ground was emblazoned with huge posters of two local fans who work for the national healthcare system.
First team players have already accepted partial pay deferrals to retain and support staff members all around the club, and evidently this latest incredible gesture hasn’t gone unnoticed by the SUFC faithful.
Loads of United fans are buzzing over the official update online, with one fan hailing the “brilliant news,” and another adding: “love that.”
