Bayern Munich are interested in signing goalkeeper Dean Henderson, that is according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The shot-stopper is currently on loan at Sheffield United from parent club Manchester United.
Henderson has been at Bramall Lane for the last season and a half and he has excelled in South Yorkshire.
Indeed he helped the Blades win promotion from the Championship last season and has started all 12 of their Premier League fixtures to date (Transfermarkt).
The 22-year-old has made it known that he is desperate to become the number one at Manchester United in the future, but the opportunity to do that anytime soon may have been hampered by the fact that David De Gea recently signed a new contract.
However there may be an opportunity for him to go and play for another European giant, with Bundesliga side Bayern Munich reportedly eyeing him up as Manuel Neuer according to the Mirror.
Henderson only signed a new contract at Old Trafford in the summer but his future at Manchester United is still unclear with De Gea firmly their number one.
If he becomes available then it is likely that Sheffield United will want to snap him up permanently, but if Bayern’s interest is genuine then that could be a bigger draw for the 22-year-old.
It is easy to see why they may have an eye on Henderson, given his performances in the Premier League this season. Indeed, he has kept five clean sheets which is the joint-most alongside Ederson (premierleague.com) and has only conceded nine goals (Transfermarkt).
He is a player who wants to play and isn’t happy to sit on the bench however, so he would need to be guaranteed first-team football at the Allianz if they did come in for him.
