Many Sheffield United supporters have been drooling after the club posted footage of George Baldock’s goal against Norwich City from earlier in the season on their official Twitter account.
With football in England currently suspended due to a global pandemic, several clubs have been keeping fans entertained by showing clips from historical games. The Blades are no different and on Saturday they opted to post a series of highlights from their 2-1 win at Carrow Road in December.
One of the videos they posted was of Baldock’s strike, which came just three minutes after Enda Stevens had equalised for the South Yorkshire side and ultimately proved to be the winner (BBC Sport).
It was a terrific goal from the full-back, showing brilliant skill to swivel outside the box and then back in before planting a right-footed effort beyond Tim Krul.
Plenty of Blades fans were reacting to the footage after it was posted, with many waxing lyrical about the quality of the goal from the 27-year-old. One even described it as ‘absolute class‘.
Here is what some had to say…
My goal of the season . Just class !!!!!
