Sheffield United: Fans rage at ‘unfortunate’ FA Cup date versus Arsenal - Sheffield United

Some Sheffield United fans are raging at the date for their FA Cup quarter-final tie against Arsenal after it was revealed on the club’s official Twitter page.

The date was confirmed on the club’s post as Sunday 22nd March with the kick-off at 1:30 p.m in the afternoon. The fixture will be shown live on BT Sport and the Blades also revealed their ticket information in the same tweet. Chris Wilder’s side have arguably not had much to moan about in recent times as they beat Norwich City 1-0 in their last fixture in the Premier League at the weekend which has seen them keep in touch with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United for those final European spots at the end of the season.

They now also have an FA Cup quarter-final to look forward to against the team that have won it the most times in Arsenal and by winning that game the Blades would see themselves playing at Wembley in the semi-final. But some Blades fans have voiced their rage at the fixture scheduling as some call for it to be played on a Friday instead whilst others highlight the fact that it is Mother’s Day on the same day, meaning that fans may have to have their attentions drawn elsewhere.

One fan has said that it is ‘unfortunate’ that the kick-off time lies on Mother’s Day whilst another fan branded the fixture scheduling as ‘awful’. These fans in particular were raging on Twitter:

Blades fans, are you happy with the kick-off date or would you have preferred it on another day? Would you dare miss Mother’s Day to watch the game? Do you think that you can beat Arsenal and eventually win the FA Cup? Let us know in the comments down below.
