Sheffield United: Fans react to latest transfer news as Sander Berge is linked with move

Sheffield United are not giving up hope of signing Genk midfielder Sander Berge in the January transfer window and the player is thought to be keen on the move, that is according to Bleacher Report journalist Dean Jones.
The Daily Mail recently reported that the Blades had seen their offer for the 21-year-old rebuffed, but it seems that they could still come back and try and get a deal over the line.
Berge has been a regular for Genk this season, starting 22 of their 23 league matches whilst also starting in all six of their UEFA Champions League fixtures, helping them to a 0-0 draw against Napoli (Transfermarkt).
This isn’t the first time that Chris Wilder has tried to sign the Norwegian either, with HLN reporting that the South Yorkshire side made a £22.5m bid for him in the summer. However, it is thought that Berge rejected the move after he admitted on TV2 that he turned down the chance to join a club newly promoted to the Premier League.
It remains to be seen whether or not Sheffield United will pull this transfer off but, one thing is for sure, plenty of their supporters would love to see the midfielder move to Bramall Lane. Indeed several have taken to Twitter to urge the club to get a deal done, here is what some had to say…
