Sheffield United: Fans react to Lys Mousset’s loss to Diego Jota in the ePL Invitational

Loads of Sheffield United fans have been reacting to a tweet from the club’s official Twitter account, after Lys Mousset dropped out of the ePremier League FIFA 20 Invitational tournament.
In light of the ongoing pandemic, football across the country has ground to a premature halt. As a result, teams have been trying to keep supporters entertained during the suspension, and the Premier League has introduced a new esports fundraiser for the NHS.
Affectionately known as ‘Moose’ by the fan base, Mousset has made 23 appearances in the English top flight for Chris Wilder’s side, having moved to Bramall Lane from AFC Bournemouth last summer for a reported fee of £9.9m. The striker has scored 5 goals, produced 4 assists, taken 1.4 shots per game, averaged 0.7 key passes, and completed 1 dribble on average so far (WhoScored).
The 24-year-old thrashed Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell 6-2, before bowing out of the competition on Friday, losing to Wolves striker Diego Jota in the quarter finals.
Unsurprisingly, Mousset’s performance received a lot of responses from Blades fans online. One supporter even incredulously commented “Wilder out” at the result.
