Sheffield United: Fans rejoice after club announce Muhamed Besic signing

Chris Wilder admitted on deadline day that he was looking for a midfielder in the final hours of the window, and the Sheffield United manager got just that.

The Blades confirmed on their official website the signing of Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic on a season-long loan deal, bringing Sheffield United’s summer arrivals to 10 players.

The Bosnian international, who spent the last campaign out on loan at Middlesbrough, became the second player to arrive at Bramall Lane on deadline day following the signing of goalkeeper Michael Verrips, who signed for free (per BBC Sport).

And Sheffield United fans were excited to see a Premier League midfielder come to the club in the final hours of the transfer window, taking to social media to express that excitement.

Here is how some Sheffield United fans reacted to the signing of Besic on Twitter…

Wilder’s side broke their club transfer record four times over the summer (per the Guardian).
